| The thing that made me feel safest... in each building there are roughly 4-5 units... you access the 'foyer' that allows you into these units with a security code. So there are really 2 doors you have to get through in order to enter your apartment. The only people that have access to be able to knock on your apt door are the people with the code that can enter your bldg (the 4-5 tenants and landlord). Hope that makes sense...

I was here for over a year. The things that sold me were the stainless steel appliances, hardwoods, modern updates and price for a one-bedroom with a washer/dryer in the unit. I hate community laundry facilities. Also, it was gated. Big plus for me; felt safer. Parking might be trying if you were throwing a big party, but I never did that, so it wasn't a problem. My guests (2 or 3 at a time) were always able to find parking, even though it's a smaller lot. Whenever I had a problem with anything, I'd call my landlord (lives in the bldg with his family) & he would let me know when it would be fixed, and that was generally prompt; if it wasn't, I'd be told why & when it'd be rectified; If I couldn't get him by phone, I'd just walk over to his apartment. He was always accommodating & very kind (as is his wife), so not sure what these other reviews are about. It's true about the herbs in the garden; they're for everyone.
We did have a security incident; the girl had left her sliding glass door unlocked on the first floor & a man entered. Luckily she was unharmed. The landlord worked with the police department & detectives to figure out the best way to form a neighborhood watch b/f gathering us all together for a meeting in his unit to explain to us what had happened and what we needed to do in order to protect ourselves. We all exchanged emails and numbers so we could alert one another in the event we saw anything suspicious (I should also note that despite all tenants being invited to this security meeting, only about 10 of us showed up; I was the only one from my bldg). Also, he made sure all units were fitted that week with bars across the sliding door units and also, alarms on all the windows. I asked him to replace the outdoor lighting so I'd feel safer, and he did within 24 hrs. I always felt safe here - lived on the first floor & closed my blinds at night - but like anywhere, I'm alert/aware of my surroundings & take every precaution to protect myself; I would do the same in a small town.
I really loved living here. I miss my granite countertops. Only drawback is you can hear your neighbors sometimes, but that's going to happen in any apartment with hardwoods.

| THE LOCATION IS JUST WONDERFUL, CLOSE TO ALL THE RESTAURANTS AND SHOPS IN THE HIGHLANDS. THE APARTMENT IS VERY BEAUTIFUL WITH UPGRADED GRANITE COUNTERTOPS, STAINLESS STEEL APPLIANCES. IT EVEN HAS A NEAT MODERN TOP OF THE COUNTER SINK. THE APARTMENTS HAVE A LOT OF SUNLIGHT IN ALL ROOMS INCLUDING THE BATHROOM. THERE IS A VERY NICE YARD WITH A FOUNTAIN AND A SWING SET TO SIT OUT AND READ. THE MANAGEMENT HAS PLANTED SOME HERBS FOR US TO USE IN OUR COOKING. THE GARDENS ARE KEPT BEAUTIFULLY. I REALLY RECOMMEND THIS BUILDING TO ANYONE THAT IS INTERESTED IN LIVING IN A PEACEFUL PLACE.

This apartment is GREAT! My boyfriend and I lived here for a year and loved it! If we hadn't been laid off from our jobs, we would have definitely renewed our lease. The units have been completely remodeled and updated with beautiful wood floors, modern cabinetry, granite in both the kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom has a modern vessel sink. Also, we had a washer/dryer combo inside our unit. The living area is spacious and bright. When we decided to move to Atlanta, we looked at about 10 units in this price range. We wanted to be within walking distance of Piedmont Park, L5P, and the Poncey-Highland restaurants & nightlife. Of all the apartments in this price range, this was, by FAR, the largest, cleanest, brightest, and most updated unit for the money AND close to EVERYTHING! Also, some of the other units only offered community laundry facilities. We knew this was the place for us the minute we walked in. During our residence, there were a few things that needed attention. My boyfriend clogged the disposal, slow draining bathtub, etc. When we called our landlord, he was attentive and very quick in resolving the issues. I would say that anytime we needed attention, he was there that day to fix the problem. We really appreciated our landlord, his wife, and daughter! They are great!
I would highly recommend this apartment building to any of my friends!

| These condos are overrated. The landlord is not responsive to the needs of the tenant. You have to bug the landlord to fix anything that is broken. When I lived there the Condo was on the news because some man had broke into some young girls condo and was in her bedroom naked!!! The landlord did not inform us that anything had happened I had to have Fox 5 news knocking on my door!!! Never any place to park. Bills during the winter are HIGH because of no insulation for the people that live on the bottom floor. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!
